Gilley’s Gambling Hall Backs Mickey Gilley Memorial Golf Tournament Benefiting Branson-Area Animals
Fourth annual event seeks sponsors, silent-auction donations and community support to build on proceeds raised in 2026
PARK CITY, Kan. — September 22, 2026 — Gilley’s Gambling Hall owner Phil Ruffin has announced the Park City entertainment destination will support the Fourth Annual Mickey Gilley Memorial Golf Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2027, at Thousand Hills Golf Course in Branson, Missouri.
Through a $20,000 financial contribution to the event and marketing support, Gilley’s Gambling Hall will help promote the tournament and encourage businesses, organizations, and individuals to participate as sponsors or contribute items valued at $300 or more for the event’s silent auction.
All tournament proceeds will benefit the Branson Humane Society and Taney County Animal Control, helping both organizations care for homeless animals throughout the region.
Directed by Cindy Loeb Gilley, wife of the late country music legend Mickey Gilley, the annual tournament celebrates Mickey’s life and continues his commitment to improving the lives of animals in Taney County and the region.
“We are honored and excited to support Cindy, this special tournament, and the worthwhile cause it serves,” said Chris Brant, executive director of operations for Gilley’s Gambling Hall in Park City. “Mickey’s love for animals was an important part of his life, and this event is a meaningful way to carry that legacy forward. With the support of generous sponsors, donors, and participants, we hope to build on last year’s success and make an even greater impact for animals in need.”
The 2026 tournament raised thousands of dollars for the animal-welfare organizations. With the added support of Gilley’s Gambling Hall and additional community partners, organizers look forward to increasing their donation total in 2027.
The tournament will be held at Thousand Hills Golf Course, Mickey Gilley’s home course, in Branson. The event will feature golf, lunch, an online auction, and a silent auction, with a variety of sponsorship opportunities available.
Ruffin and Mickey Gilley shared a close personal friendship dating to the early 1990s. That friendship inspired Ruffin to bring the iconic Gilley’s honky-tonk brand to Las Vegas and continues to be reflected in his commitment to supporting Cindy Gilley and causes that were important to Mickey.
Gilley’s Gambling Hall in Park City proudly bears Mickey Gilley’s name and builds upon his legacy of memorable entertainment, genuine hospitality and great dining. The $142 million Vegas-style entertainment complex brings together gaming, dining, and active entertainment in one destination.
Businesses and individuals interested in supporting the 2027 tournament are encouraged to become event sponsors or donate merchandise, experiences, or services for the silent auction. Those unable to play in the tournament or attend the event may also make a financial contribution in Mickey Gilley’s honor.
Additional tournament, sponsorship, and donation information will be announced on the Mickey Gilley Memorial Golf Tournament Facebook page.
